Summary: Rosa and José are wonderful hosts, their property is in a four storey block and on the second floor. The other apartments are occupied by ordinary Canarians who were very pleasant and helpful. As a solo traveller I had everything I needed, and enjoyed a lovely evening meal with Rosa and José at their local "pub". I will certainly return.

Summary: So impressed by the property which is facing the sea . No street between the apartment and the sea . Only walking trail . Nice to sit at nite and get a glass of wine on the balcony. Quiet as it can be The kitchen is fully equipped with more than u can expect. Pasta, rice, Tomatoe sauce, cookies , spices etc…. The owners left me all types of Exotic fruits , wine ,soft drinks etc….. To welcome me . Reflection of the kindness of people. Thank you so much for your wonderful welcome In the canarias .

Summary: A real home from home with generous and hospitable owners. Very clean and comforable. The sound of the sea was fantastic. We did not have a hire car as we had already toured the island. There is a realiable bus service ( approx every hour) from very close to the apartment. ( Santa Cruz approx 40 minutes, Guimar town approx 20minutes) A well stocked supermarket and good bakery with home made cakes is close by and there is a visiting farmers market on Thursdays . A good choice if you want somewhere " Canarian " away from the mass tourist spots.

Summary: Never have we been made so comfortable and welcome by our hosts…… Thank you so much. We think that this is going to be a new favourite place for us. The apartment had everything we could wish for and was very comfortable and spacious - it was absolutely lovely. The wonderful view, the sound of the waves and the smell of the ocean were a constant joy. Our hosts Rosi and Jose took us out for a lovely evening, enjoying the delicious traditional Easter food in lovely local venue - it was fabulous The lovely seaside walks in the Malpais and along the promenade were magical and our time in El Puerto came to an end far too quickly. Thank you for making a special holiday.

Summary: We have never stayed with nicer or more friendly hosts than Rosa and Jose and their apartment reflected that generosity. Besides the water, wine, bread and delicious local cheese they left for us, the cupboards were stocked with all the basics (oil, vinegar, salt and pepper, spices. Even other useful things such as flour, baking powder, rice and pasta.) Plenty of pots, pans, glasses and cutlery, but also an electric blender, whisk and juicer. Whatever we needed seemed to be in one of their well-stocked cabinets. There was an abundance of towels and essentials in the bathroom, the bedroom was quiet and the bed was really comfy. The apartment was, as described, only a few yards from the ocean, with a balcony overlooking the peaceful esplanade where we sat out to catch the morning sun on the days when the weather allowed us. Unfortunately, we did have some dreadful wet and windy weather during the week, but there was a really comfy couch, good wi-fi and lots of books, games and films to keep us entertained. On good days we enjoyed walking along the esplanade and through the village, and also the well maintained and signed stone path along the coast. A car would be useful but not necessary, although Puertito de Guimar is a relatively untouristy village it has lots of pleasant bars and cafes and two small supermarkets to supply all our needs. There is a bus stop five minutes from the apartment with hourly buses to Santa Cruz. As previously mentioned, we can't thank Rosa and Jose enough for their help and kindnesses, the lifts and the wonderful meal we shared and will definitely see them again in the not too distant future.

Summary: We loved staying here-the apartment is tastefully decorated and has all the mod cons you need & the small settlement of Puerta de Guimar hasn't been over-developed as a tourist resort. It is very much a place where local people come to visit rather than visitors from abroad. To us the stand-out was the views from the balcony, with the sea but 15 metres away. Looking out to sea there is always something to see-pods of dolphins just outside the harbour, cory shearwaters riding the waves at dusk, small fishing or leisure boats bobbing about or large ships passing on the horizon. Finally, we would like to thank Rosa & Jose for their kind hospitality. They warmly welcomed us, took us out to dinner at a mountainside restaurant, gave us a thoughtful and tasteful gift and were always available if we needed some help. I highly recommend staying here.

Summary: Thank you very much for a lovely two weeks in puertito de guimar! We had a great time thanks to Rosi & Jose in Tenerife. We tasted many great local products and got good info on how to discover the best places. Apartment has a stunning front view on the cliffs and waves, really nice at night or in the early morning. We would definitely recommend and head back some time!

Summary: There are so many good things to be mentioned.. First of all Rosa and Jose are the great hosts!!! Really warm and helpful. They took us to a nice restaurant where we tasted a lot of local dishes. They gave us lots of tips where to eat and what to visit with our limited time. The apartment itself has a great location with amazing view and is very quiet, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. All in all, a great stay. We would love to come back sometime in the near future! Thank you Rosa and Jose for making our holiday amazing. :)

Summary: Rosa and Jose are very pleasant hosts. The welcome is very warm with delicious canarian food and wine. Any (litte) problem is solved promptly. The appartment is ideally located to visit the island of Tenerife. But it is also very calm in a little village not touristic. You can meet locals who are very kind, too. We'll return as soon as possible. Thank you again, Rosa and Jose, for all, especially for the nice evening in the Tasca, where we could taste originally Canarian dishes.
