Summary: I feel inclined to make a detailed review for this apartment since it made this an unforgettable experience. So ill try my best to share all about my trip and thoughts about this rental. 1. Location: The apartment is located in Es Calo, which is about a 15 to 20 min drive from the port where the ferry arrives. (TIP: there are many ferry services that are expensive, we used Aquabus and it was great. It offers wifi on the boat and a 29 euro roundtrip to ibiza.) I strongly suggest you book a car because the island tends to get very hot during summer, distances are long and you'll be eating dirt and sand all the way to the beach from the other cars. Also if you plan to take anything to the beach it becomes a burden. Another thing is that an incredible beach is located 4min walking distance, its rather small but its beautiful. There are restaurants, a pharmacy and a small convenience store walking distance (aprox 1 - 2 min). 2. Apartment: The apartment is incredible, its on top of a bigger house and has its own entrance. Its the perfect size for a family of 4 as it had a big bed in the main bedroom and a smaller one in the hall. It comes with wifi, a washing machine and dryer, kitchen, tv and a/c. It was very clean and we barely had to bring anything because it included towels (not for the beach though). *BTW a deposit is required prior to arrival. 3. The owners: Juan was a great host, he gave us recommendations of where to go, eat and shop. He was very attentive and helped us in any way he could. He definitely added to our trip being incredible. 4. The island: The island has some of the most beautiful beaches in europe. They can get a little crowded sometimes so make sure you get there early. The sun is very strong so make sure that you drink a lot of water and take some sunscreen, this I cannot stress enough. Our favorite beaches were (distances in car): Playa Migjorn (10min), Playa Llevant (20min), Playa Illetes (20 min), for playa illetes make sure you are prepared for a packed beach, we liked some of the others better because of the fact we could get good spots and has space for ourselves. Place to eat: TOP on our list was La Mariterranea, the red paella is one of the best we have ever had and the place is incredible. Es moli de sal was a true disappointment, don´t waste your time and go here to eat but rather go there for drinks and look at the view which is incredible. This place is a diamond in the rough and I hope to be back soon.
