Positive: What a fantastic location and wonderful hosts. We absolutely loved it and the bird song and the eels. All very very special. I envy the people that can come here regularly. And the cleanest place I‘ve been to. The hosts are very lodge proud and very accommodating. Hopefully we can come back one day. We stayed in one of the little cabins that are very comfortable and surprisingly roomy for two. Right beside the stream. I loved the gurgling sound at night. Insect screen in front of one of the windows to keep the mosquitoes at bay I assume in the warmer months.

Negative: Our TV didn’t go so we watched the news on our phone. Wifi worked no problem.

Positive: This is a beautiful place. A unit with a view know matter what the weather. Pool, spa plus the sea, water for any occasion. Highly recommended

Negative: The weather was a challenge but we loved our stay. Photo is of our 1st day. It only got better after this

Positive: Jen and Dave were very welcoming. They live and work in a beautiful place, and their enthusiasm shows. Cool, big eels in the river. Everything was clean and well maintained. I'll be back.

Positive: Beautiful part of NZ and Anglers Lodge is in a lovely location across the beach. The park itself was well managed and everyone we met was very friendly and helpful.

Negative: Maybe a can of insect repellent in each unit as we encountered insects that troubled us especially in the evenings.

Summary: Jen and Dave who are the park managers/owners were lovely people and happy to visit again.

Positive: We throughly enjoyed our time and will definitely be coming back in the near future. The service was excellent and the team were awesome to deal with and great to accommodate out late arrival. Our room was very nice and the atmosphere around the lodge was peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely be recommending and cannot wait to return!
