Positive: A well equipped cottage which is centrally located to the town centre with easily accessible supermarket and a good bakery (Mhor’s Bread). Also, the good quality bedding ensures a good sleep.

Negative: The water pressure for shower is a bit weak.

Positive: A darling cottage that is cozy, well maintained, and has a stunning view over Callander. The house is old and has all the charm and quirks of an older house, but it’s very well maintained and feels comfortable. Hosts were very responsive when we had questions.

Negative: We had some adventures getting a hot shower to work, and the hot water is extremely hot so be careful with little ones! We had a car and the parking was a little tough…be prepared to walk a bit.

Positive: The property is very well located, one street back from the main road through Callander, so there's no noise at all, but easy access to the town itself. It's on two levels with one of the bathrooms, at a mezzanine level serving a ground floor bedroom, and a second and larger bathroom serving the upper floor bedroom en suite. All rooms spacious and the lounge and bedroom on the upper floor have particularly good views. The access road is narrow so there's no parking in front of the entrance but its fine to offload there and there's plenty of parking close by. There's plenty to do in the area; we found the Lake of Menteith and the castle Drummond Gardens especially beautiful

Negative: Nothing of significance; the mezzanine bathroom could do with a shelf for toiletries. Note that the Old Rectory Inn looks like it has closed.

Positive: Lovely split-level cottage in a good location. Had all the items needed to support our stay (kitchen basics, laundry etc). Great view out to the mountains from the upstairs lounge. Convenient for buses and local walks.
