This 40-acre hilltop property overlooking vineyards is the perfect getaway for families or a group of friends. Our home is only five minutes from the local Philo market, hiking at Hendy Woods, Cider tasting at Gowan's Apple Farm, and swimming at Navarro swim hole. We are next door to some of the best wineries including Toulouse and Goldeneye. We are approximately 40 minutes away from the town of Mendocino, a perfect day trip. Of course, you can always settle in for the day at our C-Ranch retreat relaxing by the pool and playing shuffleboard - our favorite thing to do!

Summary: First, I’d like to say how much we loved the location of the house. It’s literally minutes to everything in Philo could not have asked for a more convenient spot. The property had beautiful views and was just the right size for a small group of six adults (3 couples). I just wish I had known there was no central heat in the pool house and bedroom off of the pool house. We were there in late November and it was very cold at night which we expected but too cold to really enjoy the pool house late into the evening. I also wish we had known there was only one bathroom. (Master bath) upstairs in the main house. Our friends that stayed in the house with us had to walk up and down the stairs every time they had to use the bathroom which was a little inconvenient. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re interested in wine tasting in Philo for the weekend or just getting away from the city all together.

Summary: We stayed with two families, both with young children. Property is ideal for a long weekend, with lots of indoor / outdoor games (basketball, polish golf, life sized jenga, foos ball, shuffleboard). Pool was super pleasant and a great way to beat the Labor Day heat. We took the advice from the owners on places to eat and taste wine, and they were generally spot on. Would stay again!

Summary: Amazing as advertised!! Beautiful property and home with lots of space to spread out. The pool was perfect and the focal point of our stay.. Eris gave perfect directions for finding this little gem.

Summary: what an amazing property! what I loved most was the different views from every window!the pool house and bedroom suite was perfect for my sister and her small dog. and the upstairs 3 bedrooms worked well for the grandparents(us) and our daughter and son-in-law and the 2 children. Eris was super accommodating and when we had an issue with the gate, was quick to respond. I highly recommend this beautiful property!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay. Eris was so responsive to a unexpected maintenance issue which was beyond their control. There was something for the moody teen as well as the three younger siblings. We will definitely be back.

Summary: We had a wonderful time! Our family of four plus my 2 nephews and neice stayed here for a early summer escape and it was absolutely perfect. Everything was clean and outfitted in a way that made you feel like you were at an old friend's house. The house is comfy qnd has wonderful views, but the pool and the pool house put this rental over the top! You're secluded and have full views of the valley. Eris, the host, was communicative and welcoming. I hope we can come back again and again.

Summary: This place is truly hard to beat if you want to be in the Anderson Valley with a bit of solitude but not far from all the things you’d want to do in the area. The setting is gorgeous - propped up on a hillside above Philo with both up-valley and down-valley views. Having the two “homes” was ideal - it allowed us to mix up our time between the two. And the pool with the deck and the scenery was perfect. The owner, Eris, was communicative and very helpful throughout. We loved it - hope to stay there again.
