Positive: The location, views, privacy and amenities, including a vehicle for touring the island. Our host was exceptional in all ways!

Negative: An island-wide power outage that couldn’t be helped! It’s a good reminder to always travel with some extra food for an emergency meal!

Positive: Exceptional service, Kath, Bill, and Joe, really did go above and beyond to make our stay a lovely experience. Joe was a great help on the first day helping us get ready for our hike and getting settled in Oban, and I cannot thank them enough for the loan of Bill's old hiking shoes (after I forgot mine!) to do the Rakiura Track, just great people really welcoming and so accomodating they made our stay a wonderful experience! The ability to rent your own car (one per cabin) for a very reasonable fee was a super add on. The property had a unique character lovely gardens and setting, the cabins were beautifully appointed and had everything we needed, lovely sitting on the deck with an awesome vista of Horseshoe bay!

Negative: Nothing everything was great!

Summary: Wonderful idillic peaceful, a perfect slice of Rakiura!

Positive: We felt so well looked after right from Bill picking us up from the ferry, taking us on an informative and witty tour of Oban and surrounding areas, to settling us into the lodge. The lodge itself is excellent, with a huge comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen and a bathroom with a great shower! The car loan was ideal to get around and really appreciated. The lodge is in an incredible location, set in amazing gardens amongst trees, with views over Horseshoe Bay.

Negative: It seems picky to mention anything negative about such a great place but bedside tables/cabinets would be useful. I'm not sure what you could do about it but it's a shame to lose so much space to a second (single) bed if you're not using it

Positive: Owners were super lovely and helped return an item I left on the island asap! They picked us up from the ferry and had a courtesy car we could hire during our stay which was invaluable. Cabins are fairly close to each other but private enough we could enjoy our stay. Had washer and dryer available if needed.
