Positive: Being close to nature and the facility was great but only for couples or a family with one child. We were 2 adults and 2 kids then it gets uncomfortable although the room is big enough still open toilet and shower made it uncomfortable for a big family. Otherwise everything was great! The manager was great his name is Prem (I hope I spelled that right) and the staff overall was so helpful, friendly and nice!

Negative: We liked everything! There’s a lot of insects and animals outside so if you’re not into nature then choose another resort. We wanted to experience watching monkeys, squirrels etc and we got what we were after.

Positive: The view…from the villa overlooking the adjacent private pool on towards the sea and the island…breathtaking!!! The staff…very cordial and cooperative The service…from room making to overall cleanliness and maintenance…top notch

Negative: The breakfast (complementary though)…lacked in variety in both number and taste. Its served in an extended A-la-carte manner, with choices from Western, Local and Indian type, but items were limited. A 5 star resort like this should definitely be serving buffet breakfast with a lot more options. The location…without personal transport or Grab, it’s difficult to travel to and from the resort, as it’s a bit away from the attractions and beaches. I had a sedan rented from Kasina Rental (suggested by the resort), and it made life so much more easy.

Positive: Ambong-Ambong Villas was the perfect hidden gem in Langkawi — beautifully secluded yet close to all the main attractions. We had an amazing time at the hotel. The private pool offered complete privacy along with stunning sunrise views — a truly peaceful escape. The food was exceptional, whether it was breakfast or dinner. Every meal felt special. A huge thank you to Hafiz, Umi, and the entire Ambong team — their friendliness and warm hospitality made our stay unforgettable. We truly enjoyed every moment and would love to return here every year. I hope Ambong-Ambong continues to grow and expands to other islands and resorts — they deserve all the success!
