Why we chose South Nags Head: Our family has been coming to the outer banks for many years and South Nags Head is our favorite location. We love it so much for it’s quiet beaches and convenience. Many years we have watched turtles hatch and make their journey to the ocean. We married on the beach here in South Nags Head and thought it was only fitting that we buy a special place of our own. Summary: We were very impressed with our stay at the house. It was immaculate and Tracy was an excellent host. The beach was so quiet with plenty of room to spread out. The backyard and decks are equipped with plenty of seating for a large group. Everything was as described or better in person!

Summary: This house is SO cute! Great lay out, great views, and the beach is right there! Pool is perfect for kids during beach breaks. So much to do and see, we never even stepped foot in the living room! Planning OBX is a bit overwhelming because many different location options. So happy we chose South Nags Head, it was perfect. Just a quite little beach neighborhood, just close enough to everything, without all the noise and congestion. The light houses are so cool- we climbed Bodie. We did the Wright bros monument. And we drove all the way down the Hatteras National Seashore, stopping along the way. Our favorite was Pea Island. So much so we went back another day. It is truly unbelievable. Like a deserted island of gorgeous rolling hills of sand and waves. My kids could not get enough and are still talking about it.

Summary: The Summer Shanty is so cozy and comfortable! It was very clean upon our arrival and my whole family enjoyed the house and closeness to the beach immensely! Tracy was incredibly kind, accomodating, and communicative. Even though it was unseasonably chilly for our stay, we loved every second. We plan to book again next year!!!

It is everything you can imagine and then some, clean, accommodating, very thoughtfully laid out. The backyard… just wow! The views of the sunrise and sunset… breathtaking!
