Positive: Great little hotel in Phi Mai, on the river and good opportunity to have a nice walk in the morning when it's not too hot. Friendly staff who spoke good English despite it being very rural. Highly recommended if you are looking for a cheap and cheerful hotel, which is also nice.

Negative: No kettle of coffee facilities in the room but they have lobby restaurant which they will provide anything you need.

Positive: Breakfast of coffee and toast - make your own - was included. You could get an egg on request at additional cost and doubtless other things although no menu. This was as expected for the room price so no complaint.

Summary: This is a typical up country Thai hotel - cheap and cheerful. Don't expect too much

Positive: Location. Opposite the river, has a very serene view. Very close to the historic park. Nearby there is a choice of restaurants.

Positive: Very pleasant hotel. We had a room with a river view, which was very good. Very close to the main sights and restaurants. Very clean in the room, clean bed linen, good AC. Very friendly English speaking staff.

Negative: The fridge has a tiny freezer so you can't even put a half a litre bottle into it. The furniture is a bit old. There is no towel holder by the sink, a bit inconvenient. And a bit dark in the bathroom.
