Positive: Beautiful hotel in the centre of Amanohashidate; 3 mins walk to the train station, 4 mins to the closest convenience store, and 5 mins to the water. Staff were very attentive and accommodating; room was very large mixed Japanese/ Western style, with an excellent view of the water. Breakfast buffet was solid, and I would definitely stay again.

Positive: Location. Right by train station and the park. Great walking. The nightly meal was good and recommended as there are very few places nearby to eat for dinner.

Negative: Breakfast was bland. Not a lot of variety. More fruit would have been nicer. The steam room in the onsen was broke and onsen was not as nice as they show in the photos. Water temperature was only 39 degrees

Positive: I felt that the value didn’t quite match the price. On the positive side, the view from my room was excellent, and the room itself was spacious and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. The breakfast, priced at 2,500 JPY per person, was truly great, and the check-in staff were incredibly friendly and professional. However, there were some major downsides. The night shift front desk staff did not seem very professional, and communication in English was quite difficult. Additionally, the Wi-Fi and mobile signal in my room were extremely poor—almost completely unusable. Because of this, I had to stay in the lobby most of the time to stay connected. Once I returned to my room, I was essentially cut off from communication.

Negative: THE WIFI AND MOBILLE SIGNAL IS EXTREMELY POOR

Summary: while my overall experience was positive, I felt that the value didn’t quite match the price.
