Summary: I'm a U.S. citizen and was stuck in Canada, waiting for my passport to arrive in the mail. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, considerate, and genuinely concerned about my well-being. Each time I extended my stay (ended up waiting about a week for my passport), they asked if I was okay and ensured I was able to afford the extension. While my passport never arrived (I ended up having to travel to the Consulate for an emergency replacement), the Altona staff were so great, making the experience so much better. Really appreciate their kindness.

Summary: My friends and I were in Altona for one night; we made the trip from South Dakota in the U.S. and were in anitoba as a bucketlist item to spend a night in all the Canadian provinces. We got to the hotel rather late, and the front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. It's an older property, but the room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Altona. We we greeted so openly by the hostess. This hotel was totally dog friendly, even allowing us to bring our pooch for dinner. The room was clean, large and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this hotel to other dog owners especially.
