Positive: As someone who spent part of their childhood on Hydra and has stayed in many houses on the island over the years, I can confidently say this is one of the best places I’ve ever rented. The house is in a beautiful, peaceful location with a stunning view over the town. It offers everything you could wish for: a large terrace perfect for relaxing or dining outdoors, a charming balcony, and a lovely garden. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. We loved every minute of our stay and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

Positive: We liked eveything about the house. The hosts’ hospitality was top, they welcomed us when we arrived to the island; helped us for the luggages, they answered our questions immediately and they were always very helpful. The house is very nicely decorated and very well equipped. The terrace had a stunning view of the island and it was a pleasure to sit there.

Positive: Beautiful location with stunning view of the village. The balcony was the highlight, with spacious table and chairs for morning family breakfast and loungers for relaxing after a long hike. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed, with all you need. The bowl of fruit, water, and cakes were so welcome upon our arrival. As was the luggage transportation to and from the port. The apartment looks exactly like the pictures, clean, with modern amenities and traditional Greek character. I could have stayed a month, and maybe I would have lost some weight hiking and climbing stairs…. were it not for Irini ‘s two cakes and the local Tavernas! Althea Garden is a true gem and I will be back!

Negative: Nothing. One of the bathrooms sometimes had a sewer smell. But a call to Irini had it quickly fixed. If you have bad knees, you will have to take the steps slow….but the view is worth it.

Summary: Absolutely perfect. Close to the action, away from the noise, with a stunning view.
