Positive: Lovely Bavarian style lodge that is ski-in/ski-out from Madarao ski resort. The owners were great, breakfast was delicious and the common area around the fire place was very nice to relax at the end of the day and chat with other guests. Would stay again!

The accommodations were spotlessly clean, warm, and comfortable, and the location made getting on and off the mountain incredibly easy…especially during heavy snowfall. The breakfasts were fantastic and a perfect way to start long ski days. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional communication and support from the host. Everything was thoughtfully arranged in advance: our ski luggage was received without any hassle, ski rentals were coordinated smoothly, and transportation logistics were handled seamlessly. When the area was hit with a significant snowstorm, the host went above and beyond by arranging transportation for us to get to dinner safely, which made a huge difference and showed genuine care for us. We also highly recommend Mr. Durama for cocktails and food—an absolute highlight after a day on the slopes. Overall, this was a stress-free, well-organized, and memorable stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a true ski-in/ski-out experience in Japan with outstanding hospitality.
