Positive: Conveniently located for catching the ferry to Sicily. We had a nice meal at a pizzeria down on the Esplanade.

Negative: Street parking could be challenging.

Positive: We chose this b&b because it's very close to Sicily's ferries and we went to Sicily next morning. Location is a bit on the outskirts of town and I would say you need a car to reach it. Place doesn't look much from the outside but the room we had was very nice and very large with nice large bathroom. It also has a small fridge(very handy) and AC. There is a store very close and different restaurants but you need a car to reach them.

Negative: I hated the bed. It was large but hard as wood and I was disappointed with breakfast. I expected more since they have their own products, but it is self made. You can make yourself coffee, have some cereals, you get not fresh croissants, and you can have some marmalade. That's more or less it.

Positive: Exceptionally clean room, which has been recently refurbished. Paolo was a very helpful host, who even gave us a lift back to the hotel after dinner and a welcome drink later that evening. The air-conditioner in the room dealt very well with the stifling June heat. The port of Villa San Giovanni is literally just down the road.

Negative: The area just outside of the accommodation is rather run-down. The main road nearby where one finds all the restaurants is not pedestrian-friendly, and the traffic was rather intense.

Summary: Great value for money very close to the port of Villa San Giovanni.
