Sunset Cottage has been described by people who have visited as quaint, cozy, romantic, bright, peaceful, relaxing. There is one bedroom downstairs and additional sleeping in the loft area. This fully furnished cottage has lots of light with 2 picture windows on the first floor and one on the second facing South and West with great views of the open fields, trees and the Green Mountains. The cottage has a cathedral ceiling with a large loft area that is a TV/Sitting area and can be used as a sleeping area. There is a Vermont Castings gas stove which heats the cottage with additional heat in the bathroom, which has a tub/shower and washer/dryer. Downstairs also is the living room/ kitchen area. The kitchen is complete with a full size refrigerator, gas stove with oven, microwave, coffee pot, etc. Linens are provided. Nearby are country stores, fine dining, churches, libraries, post office, groceries, beverages. and several micro breweries, including the Hillstead Farm Brewery in nearby Greensboro.
Winter Sports:
Cross Country skiing, snow shoeing, skating at the nearby Craftsbury Outdoor Center.
Summer Sports: Craftsbury Outdoor Center provides bike rentals. Also the cross country ski trails are used for biking trails. The Center also provides professional sculling lakes and instructions.
Snow Mobile: We are located by the trail! Park your trailer and you can ride from Sunset Cottage.

Summary: Always a great stay at Sunset Cottage! John is a great host. He is always quick to respond to any messages I send him, and always available to help with any questions! The cottage is very cozy while being plenty of space for a few people to stay. Check-in and check-out process is super easy. Good internet connection as well!

Summary: Great cottage, great location too! It's quiet but close to shops and restaurants. It's perfect for if you want a place to hunker down and just relax for a few days, and just as perfect if you want to explore the NEK all day and have a cozy place to come back to at night!

Summary: This cottage is the perfect spot for a comfortable winter getaway. I felt so at peace sitting by the fire with a cup of tea, staring out the big living room windows glistening with icicles onto our little refuge in the mountains. The host was communicative and stocked us up with some essentials we would need during our stay, including a list of nearby stores that could provide for all of our needs. Craftsbury is a charming little town and its General Store is filled with delicious, locally-made food.

Summary: The house is very cozy - very clear that people use it, not like a hotel room, in a good way. Has great heat in the winter and it was amazing to have a washer and dryer for those wet winter days.
