Summary: Lovely property with every amenity we could hope for including wifi, a well stocked fridge, breakfast supplies and more. Had a Nespresso pod coffee machine, which was wonderful as I'd brought mine with me (plus pods) and didn't need to get it out of the car!. Really comfortable beds. Decor was interesting and quirky - found something fun every time we looked again! Most of all we felt immediately as if we belonged there. A great base for exploring the region too. Laura is a lovely town with friendly people, there's an excellent cafe and the Emporium which showcases an eclectic range of work from local artisans shouldn't be missed; and, up the road is the Stone Hut Bakery - don't miss having a pie there as they are amazing. In short, we couldn't have been happier - three days away in bliss! and we plan to come back!

Summary: We explored, talked, photographed, read, cooked, walked, slept and just had the best 5 days in Alex's home in Laura. Downside, my own doing, was having a fall and being a guest of the hospital for 2 hours. All good, no breaks, so off we went again, Plato ( blue heeler) ,and me, enjoying the town then relaxing back at the house in front of a roaring fire. Would love to go back, much more to do and see. Summary: Cosy and very comfortable country house with great character and a fantastic wood fire in the lounge. Would definitely stay there again when visiting the Mid North.

Summary: Terrific location adjacent local park, easy walk to North Laura Hotel, and a short stroll to the central shops of Laura. Very quiet and peaceful. Wonderful east facing verandah for morning sun. Generous and welcoming accommodation with everything that we needed. Although we didn't use them, we appreciated that there were emergency provisions provided. Felt that we could use everything in the home as if it were our own. Great value for money. The dog was very happy with the accommodation too, and that's very important. Now one of our favourite short stay getaways and we look forward to the prospect of returning.

Summary: We spent five great nights at Alex's place. It was exactly as advertised. This is not a five star luxury hotel but much better - a clean, comfortable, homely country house.
