Positive: We spent a wonderful week of vacation in a beautiful house on a hill with a magnificent view in Kato Archanes. If you're looking for seclusion and want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, hoping to spend time in a peaceful village atmosphere, this house in a Greek village on Crete will be a great choice: waking up to the sound of roosters and, in the evening, enjoying the cool air on the terrace while gazing at the night sky. The house is uniquely and tastefully decorated in a traditional style, with everything you might need (and even more) for both a short or a longer stay — whether you're a couple like us or a large family. There’s plenty of space and everything is well thought out for both adults and children, inside and out: an olive garden and farm animals (chickens, roosters, a goose, a turkey...), a dog, a cat, and a space for playing ball, ping pong table, swings... The host, Fotini, is exceptionally welcoming and attentive. She meets you personally and accompanies you to the house, giving a thorough introduction and anticipating every detail of your stay. She is always available if needed and responds quickly. Some other members of her family also won us over with their kindness and friendliness. Fotini treated us to her delicious olive oil, fresh eggs from her chickens... Even the regular drinking water tasted amazing! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We would gladly return and highly recommend this place to everyone.

Positive: Amazing location in the outskirts with a garden and outdoor facilities. The house is well equipped with all necessary amenities and even more. Great choice for a big group of friends who also want to be comfortable with many rooms and bathrooms. The host is very helpful and easy to reach.

Negative: Everything was amazing. Only thing is that there are two roads to reach the location and one of them although seemed normal in Google maps needs an SUV.

Positive: We loved the countryside setting up on top of the hill, and overlooking distant areas to the north, east, and west. Fotini is a fantastic host, who welcomed us warmly and gave us very helpful information for a great stay. This was a perfect home base for touring all around the eastern, southeast, and northeast sections of Crete. It was nice being surrounded by Olive trees, lemon trees, apricot trees, and having a few chickens and rooster on the property ( penned up of course).

Negative: Nothing at all. We loved it!!

Summary: Recommend highly to travelers who wish to avoid congestion of city areas and be able to go about freely.
