Positive: Spa, breakfast and clean rooms.

Negative: Although clean, the rooms looked tired. Stayed in the annex this year (after presumably having an upgrade to a superior room last time which was amazing) and the floor tiles in the bathroom were wobbly and needed regrouting and the bathroom needed re-siliconing.

Negative: We stayed in the Old School Master’s House, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The room felt very dated, with creaky floors and fire doors that slammed shut behind you. The bathroom was not clean, the shower dripped constantly, and the water pressure fluctuated. Wi-Fi access would cut off after a certain time, which was very frustrating. The walls were also extremely thin, when the guests in the neighbouring room returned at midnight and talked until 4 am, I couldn’t sleep at all. Looking back, I should have requested a different room earlier, but since we were attending a wedding all day, I didn’t think it was worth the hassle. I would not stay here again. With the Radisson name, I expected a much higher standard, but sadly, this property did not deliver.

Positive: The main building, as well as the annexe I was staying in were both lovely on the outside and the grounds were similarly beautiful. The room was spacious and well decorated with a comfortable bed and a good-sized bathroom. The welcome I received by the member of staff on duty (Leah) was first class - many thanks for making me feel so at home.

Negative: The internal fixtures are just starting to look and feel a little tired and would perhaps benefit from a little spruce up. Sadly the main light fitting in my room (32) did not work, though the lamps were working well I didn't experience any of the restaurant / bar facilities and the hotel couldn't do a lot a little the heat on the day I stayed. They did provide a fan and the room had been left with the windows open and curtains closed to try and keep the heat down.

Positive: All excellent as usual. Room was spacious and clean - with a very comfortable bed. Food was, as ever, delicious. Spa facilities were good - with a few items not working/under repair - but still very relaxing. Above all the staff were simply superb! From reception to bar staff, cleaning staff to restaurant/breakfast staff - my thanks to every one of them!

Negative: As mentioned, some spa facilities still not operational. But not a major issue at all

Summary: Totally relaxing - we didn't want to leave so soon...
