Summary: Excellent countryside hotel located in a historic rustic Manor House with good facilities and parking and only 15 minutes away from Shrewsbury town centre. My room was clean with lovely antique furniture and countryside view and had a decent size for a single person although other rooms appear bigger on the map and on photos. Reception staff were very helpful and kind! Highly recommended.

Summary: Room I was in was dated decor and frosted glass windows. Hotel sells itself as an historic house the room was in an 80’s addition to the property - just a bit soulless but suits if you want anonymity. Perfectly efficient I guess

Summary: Good food, excellent service from attentive and friendly staff. The old building is full of character. The restaurant is fine but the bar and lounge area rather let down by clashing neo-classical furniture which wasn't particularly comfortable. The decor in the 20th century extension is tired and sound insulation in the rooms is poor.
