Positive: We love everything in the place. Big thank you to Asanka and (sorry, forgot her name) the amazingly sweet lady at the breakfast, she also arranged and served us during our first night dinner celebration. So sweet and amazing service from them both! Al Wathba should really value them! ❤️

Positive: Peaceful setting, caring staff, spacious villa. Nice breakfast, freshly cooked eggs. In room dining, good portions. Comfortable bed, good pillows. Good rain shower, easy to operate, clean. The villa pool is private. Villa was clean throughout. Clean coffee machine, meaning no 10 minute flushing required. Air con was easily controllable. A decent kitchen with fridge freezer, cooker. Comfortable lounge, nice dining room. Complimentary macarons were a real treat! The main pool is a good size, attractive setting, nicely laid out sunbeds. The staff are superb throughout, they care about their guests experience, it shows. We enjoy this resort, it offers a relaxing get away. Looking forward to using the spa next time. We felt recharged and totally at ease at this resort. Thank you to everyone at Al Wathba. *The new road, for the last 10 minutes, leading to the resort is progressing, it will have much smoother access when the road surface on both sides are completed, it is near to being finished, I believe.

Negative: Very small things. A few pigeons were leaving a reminder of their lunch in the garden area. They liked to have a pool party whilst we were dining, who could blame them?! This is not the hotel's fault, since they came from the desert. They do eat insects, however, we had no bugs indoors... The birds did not bother us when using the pool. Note: The staff offer to clean up after the birds, so it doesn't become an issue. It would have been helpful to have had 2 plates, bowls & cutlery in that proper/full kitchen prior to arrival. There were juice glasses, teaspoons and cups. We didn't know we would need to request this, until we went to eat the complimentary snacks, there was only 1 plate, 1 knife, 1 spoon, none in the cupboards, drawers. So, advisable to request in advance. The basin plug holes in the bathroom are slow draining, the mechanism to raise the plug to release the water is weak.
