Positive: Really nice host, friendly, recently renovated house; they set up a fire for us, had lots of blankets and cushions, and had a kitchen that was fully ready for use with spices, tea, etc. Surroundings are also nice and peaceful.

Negative: Our only complaint really is some light comes in through the windows in the bedrooms, so you may want to bring an eye mask. Otherwise, a perfect stay!

Summary: Great place for a family or friends trip!

Positive: +The house is brand new, extremely clean, and well-equipped with everything from kitchen utensils to towels and bedding. +Beds are comfortable and roomy with plenty of pillows available +The kitchen had everything you need for cooking: pots, pans, even items like salt, oil, tea, coffee etc. +The garden is beautiful and well-maintained, with attention to special details like the plant arrangements with cute succulents and flowers. +The children's play area was perfect for our preschool-aged children. +There are games and puzzles for the children and even a piano (though it could use a tuning...) +There are plenty of comfortable sleeping and seating options, lounging chairs etc. Even a great hammock! +The dining table extends to fit more people: this was very helpful for our group. +There is excellent communication with the host, who is kind and thoughtful, even sharing with us vegetables from her garden. +The location is excellent not far from a small town, which is great for grocery shopping, but isolated enough where you can have complete peace and quiet.

Negative: -There are dogs on a nearby property that barked throughout the entire night. -There is only one curtain on the windows in the bedrooms upstairs, which was not sufficient for keeping out the very bright morning light and the street light that is right outside the window -There is an additional contract to sign upon arrival which outlines that pets are allowed, but only with permission and this was not clear from the Booking.com listing -"Hidden fee" about using firewood: if you make a campfire more than once, there is a (reasonable) fee for any additional times. -The grill grate was very rusty and the main metal body of the grill was deteriorating. -The Wifi connection was not very strong.

Summary: Tranquil and well-equipped holiday spot with convenient proximity to shops and perfect for families

Positive: This house was probably the most well equipped and comfortable house we have ever stayed through booking. The kitchen equipment felt like home and there were also spices, tea and coffee available. Same goes for the bathroom equipment. We were 4 adults, 2 dogs and a baby and the house was really comfortable for all of us. The fact that it had two bathrooms, one on each floor was also very convenient. The garden was really beautiful and the scenery really calming and it was perfect for our dogs. There was also a small playground there, and the inside of the house in general was also child friendly. Also the host was very polite and very easy to communicate with.

Negative: It would be better for our dogs if the garden was fenced as the neighboring yards do not belong to anyone and the grass there is quite high so there were some tics there, but as far as we understood the fence is a work in progress so it will probably be built soon. Also as the ground floor has many windows (which is very beautiful for the morning), we would feel safer at night if there were also curtains to them.
