Positive: We loved our stay at L'Antica Casale. We stayed for two nights (Oct 6 and 7) and had dinner there on both nights. A beautiful old house that has been lovingly and sympathetically restored and in a fabulous location surrounded by nature and close to the lovely old town of Altomonte. We were the only ones there and Antonio and Marguerita were so friendly and treated us like family, telling us about the history of the house and the work the family has done to restore it. We enjoyed exploring the grounds and then a glass of wine on the terrace as the sun went down. We had two great evening meals of very authentic local Calabrian cuisine with Antonio's own wine and very generous breakfasts - nothing is too much trouble. Our room was spacious and spotless with a good shower. There are lots of interesting places to visit nearby and we went to Rossano to see the beautiful Codex Purpureus Rossenensis (6th Century Gospel). If you want an authentic Calabrian experience and hospitality - This is the place! We wish Antonio and Marguerita (and Rocco) all the best.

Positive: This place is just amazing! It is into the forest, quiet, beautiful nature. Margarita and Antonio are the nicest people! We had dinner at their old traditional tavern, the food was great and they also welcomed us with two glasses of red wine that was absolutely amazing! Totally suggest it👌

Positive: It is not easy to explain how great is the place. It is by far the best choice I ever made on Booking ( and I travel a lot) Not enough words. Amazing place, great rooms, fantastic food, divine wine!

Negative: Nothing, yet if I have to change something, it will be the photos on Booking. They don't reflect not even a fraction of the beauty of the place

Positive: This hotel is amazing, so beautiful, peaceful, and distant from daily contemporary stress. A place to submerge in contemplate nature, while discovering, sounds, colors and relaxing enjoying “ill dolce far niente “. Our hosts Margarita and Antonio were very nice and helpful and prepared a delicious breakfast for us. Early in the morning hundreds of cows pass by the valley down the farmhouse and we can hear their collar bells sound creating a wonderful symphony all over the forest, that experience was magical and unforgettable.

Negative: We loved the place but we recommended to arrive before night falls because the road to the farmhouse from the main street is dark.
