Positive: Clean, well-equipped and cozy place in a small village Helpful host answers quickly Gratis were provided (wine, sweets, snacks, fruits, etc.) In the backyard there is place for drying clothes

Negative: The is only 1 air conditioner in the living room (for the bedroom a big fan was provided) Parking is not for first year drivers. Left part of the gate can't be locked in one position. In case of strong wind it can scratch the car

Positive: Very convenient place at 5 minutes walk to the best Greek taverne ever. Nice yard. Only 20 minutes from Heraklion on a beautiful road. As said by others and confirmed by locals: cars can't drive through the village, take the 'ring road' along the river instead for easy access. Highly recommended.

Positive: Ein wundervoller Ort und Unterkunft. To sit in the evenings under the grapes, overlooking the mountains, it was wonderful. Kristina gave us some apples, snacks and wine so it was easy to feel at home. Comfortable beds, very nice garden, kitchen and surroundings. I would recommend to shop in a super market before arriving, if you want to cook by yourself. Otherwise just take the little walk down to Giannis taverna and have a perfect meal, with wonderful hosts. Would love to come back!

Positive: Very nice house off the beaten track. Quiet, peaceful, with everything you need for a comfortable stay - including exactly the right amount of cats in the garden:) We didn't meet the owner but she was really helpful and the house was perfectly prepared.

Negative: Everything was fine. Small warning - when looking for the accommodation, use the booking.com map, not Google maps or your sat nav. They might lead you to the narrow streets of the village center or through one of the more "adventurous" and steep paths in the surroundings.

Positive: Amazing and hospitable host. Great communication throughout our stay. The host made sure multiple times that we would reach the property without any problems and that everything was fine with our stay. The property is well-equipped for a long stay, with everything you need (pots, dishes, cleaning products, etc.). The area is very peaceful and offers easy access to Heraklion city. Thank you for sharing some fresh fruits and breakfast items with us, which our kids absolutely loved!

Positive: Finding the village easy . Finding the house not easy - we had to phone for help ! Plenty of stuff in the fridge which was nice . Plenty of pots and pans to do your own cooking . Needs a bread knife and cutting board. Kafeneio in the village was average the first visit , but friendly , and the second visit (Saturday ) was BBQ night and the food was very good and the wine and raki and free fruit plate were super . Yianni ,the host , was on top form and the place was pacxked ! Parking the car (small) was not easy. Enjoyed the holiday .

Positive: The peace and quiet and privacy. Large space. Good shower. The kitchen was well equipped and snacks and wine and fruits were appreciated. We were met in person and it was a nice gesture. We had instant contact by phone when needed.The cafeneon in the town square was welcoming and most pleasant and had delicious food. We liked the lemon trees full of fruit and were offered to pick more than were already left for us. The heater was good to have to take the edge off of cool evenings.

Negative: The driveway is steep with a narrow sharp turn into the parking spot and the water bar was high scraping the undercarriage of our car. A bit of a taper on the outer side would preclude this. Difficult to get in and out. It was good to have a washing machine but we needed more clothes pins and the room in the back where the washer was could have been cleaner.

Summary: A non touristed town with welcoming people and peaceful and comfortable home.

Positive: Absolutely beautiful house, perfect! Great host, great setting.

Negative: Not a fault of the host at all, but do not follow Google maps it will take you to totally the wrong part of the village! Thankfully, a quick call to the host and she came to find me and show me the right way, so be sure to message and ask for directions instead of letting Google send you the wrong way!
