Positive: The Afton House Inn staff was so welcoming and I felt very taken care of by Peggy. The Swirl restaurant at the Inn had great food and entertainment as well as an amazing staff. I enjoyed my stay in this quaint town close to the river. The complimentary breakfast each day was perfect.

Summary: The Afton House Inn was the perfect accommodation for a weekend stay for a solo traveler.

Positive: Breakfast was okay. Glad there were hot food options and not just continental breakfast. Location was great - cute little town. The people working there were very accommodating, friendly and helpful.

Negative: Could have been cleaner. There are many outdated decorations on the walls that were very dusty/dirty. There was a pill from a previous guest in the corner on the floor. The deck and chairs off of our room needed to be cleaned. TV placement in bedroom was weird. I suspect it is there due to a limitation of some sort, but even moving the bed to a different wall to accommodate would make more sense. Also, the TV in the main room was so small, we could barely see it from across the room. I realize that watching TV when there are other things to do may not be a priority and older structures have limitations on what can be installed where.

Summary: Afton Inn was a neat, historic place and the staff work hard to be friendly and accommodating.
