Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Very classy place to stay, decent breakfast spread, and a good location in town.

Negative: There was a coffee machine in the lobby but it would have been better if there was a machine that dispensed water. Unfortunately this is regional Japan and not many restaurants in town are open at night, but you need to make an advance reservation to eat at the hotel's restaurant so that wasn't very useful.

Positive: Tono is a relatively small town, the hotel location allows to reach most things by foot. The rooms are convenient and the bathroom is comfortable. The lobby area is large with ample seating. Car parking is paid but convenient in/under the building. Staff is exceptionally friendly.

Negative: The western style beds are very hard, futons would have been even more comfortable… It is not allowed to go to the restaurant in kimono…

Summary: Nice location, friendly staff.
