Located just steps from the Arkansas River, Royal Gorge Train Depot, Centennial Park, and historic Main Street, this recently updated 3 bed/1 bath home is perfect for the family or small group ready to explore the adventures Canon City has to offer! Hit the nearby hiking/biking trails, go on a white-water rafting or kayak exhibition, or visit the highest suspension bridge in the US. Don't forget to check out the great local restaurants, breweries, and winery or just enjoy the great back patio!
The space
This cozy Colorado cottage offers the amazing comfort and great amenities needed while adventuring in the mountains. Lots of great natural light creates a super inviting and bright space.
The open living and dining areas are perfect for sharing meals, relaxing with a movie, or having game night with any of the variety of board games located in the front closet. The kitchen has all the basics for preparing home cooked meals: dishes/bakeware, utensils, spices/dry condiments, even a crockpot and microwave with air fryer! This property does not currently have a dishwasher, however bamboo drying rack and all supplies provided for super quick and easy cleaning and paper products are also available. The full bathroom is stocked with basic toiletries, super soft and absorbent towels and plenty of space in the mirrored medicine cabinet and under sink storage. Next to the bathroom on the main floor, the beautiful custom barn door opens up to the master bedroom with a rustic wood Queen bed and dresser and a huge closet with lots of storage space.
Off the dining room, the door opens and staircase leads to the upper floor with two additional bedrooms. The first, a loft-style bedroom- includes a TV and lounging area (perfect for kids) with twin bed and trundle underneath. The closet has been converted into shelving space for storage. The second upper level room is even more spacious, with a Queen bed, and small dresser. Both rooms have brand new window AC units with remotes.
Enjoying the great outdoors in Colorado is easy in this backyard! Beautiful landscaping, lots of open space for yard games and taking in the sunshine and fresh air. Check out the shed behind the garage for extra chairs, yard games, baby hiking backpack, and more for use during your stay. The patio setup creates the perfect place to BBQ and watch the sunset over the mountains.

Summary: I stayed here for my birthday weekend to go antiquing and enjoy the mild southern CO weather. There are tons of great stores in Canon City and Florance. The house was perfect and had everything I needed. The bathroom might be the only hiccup since it's the only one if you have a few people staying here. Bed was comfy - lots of linens - no condiments in fridge is the only thing I wish was there but I was able to get what I needed at the grocery store. Would definitely stay here again.

Summary: I’m a local who lives in town. My grandma came to stay and my house is not accessible for an elderly person so we booked her a separate place to stay. There is a queen bed and a bathroom on the main floor and very few steps, she did great with her walker. The house is small but very cute. We cooked a few meals and all of the utensils and pans we needed were there. The backyard is a great place to hang out Located close to all the fun things in town. Short drive to the Royal Gorge, maybe 15 minutes. Highly recommended!

Summary: Ideal for 2 adults with ready access to main areas of Canõn City & Royal Gorge area. There is only one small bathroom which was fine for the two of us but could be problematic if additional adults were present. The grounds are nice with lots of flowers & an area to sit out back (weather permitting).

Summary: Wonderful stay in Canon city. Very comfortable home for my family of four (including two teens who loved having their own space upstairs). The home had everything we needed. It’s located in a quiet, residential neighborhood. The owner was kind and easy to communicate with. Close to the Royal Gorge railroad, downtown area and only about an hour from Cheyenne mountain zoo. Highly recommend.
