Just 3 miles north of Cortez near Hwy 491, this quiet ranch retreat offers a fully furnished equine themed guest apartment with generous parking. One queen bed and a full-sized futon can sleep up to 4 comfortably. Make lavish meals in the full kitchen or check out several fantastic restaurants in town. Enjoy panoramic views of Sleeping Ute Mountain and Mesa Verde. Keep an eye out for bald and golden eagles. Don’t be surprised if the horses wander by to greet you! Ideal central base camp for mountain bike Mecca Phil’s World, Sand Canyon, Boggy Draw and more! Well-behaved dogs are welcome for a small fee. We offer simple, zero contact check-in so all you need to do is arrive and relax! Our driveway is circular and can easily accommodate large trailers and moving vans.
The guest quarters consists of a private 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment with a complete kitchen that sits adjacent to our shop. There is a fold out full-sized futon in the living room to accommodate additional guests with a flat screen TV and excellent WiFi. Please do not leave your pet unattended inside the apartment or allow him/her on the furniture as other guests may have allergy issues.
Short-term horse boarding is available with a 100’ x 200’ outdoor riding arena. We also have 30 amp RV hookups and trailer parking. Ask us for details.
We live onsite in a separate residence and are always available by text or phone calls. We're happy to help with any questions or concerns but like to give guests their space. If you need advice on local mountain bike/hiking trails or where to play pickleball in town, just ask!

Summary: Oh my goodness, what a GEM! We are a couple traveling from AZ to ID and then back home, so CO was an overnight stay to rest until we could get back on the road. All we needed was to eat and sleep and it was a pleasure to do both in this adorable bungalow. The owners are beyond wonderful, they reached out when it was needed and it was appreciated. The space was clean, and cute! And as the cook, the kitchen had all that I needed. The futon served its purpose - we ate our dinner on it while we watched an old John Wayne movie - it was PERFECT way to end a long day. All in all I highly recommend the space, there's nothing like standing at the kitchen sink seeing happy cows & horses living their best life.

Summary: We loved our stay at this charming guest house in the countryside near Cortez, Colorado. The property is very comfortable and cozy—perfect for relaxing and unplugging. It's located near the horse corral, adding a special touch to the rural setting. What we enjoyed the most was the spectacular view and the incredibly peaceful and quiet atmosphere. It is an ideal place to unwind and enjoy nature. We would come back!

Summary: My husband and I stayed here for 10 days while we explored the Four Corners area. The location, accommodations, the hosts, and the proximity to all the Four Corners has to offer could not have been better. We cannot imagine a better place to stay.

Summary: We stayed her two nights while visiting Mesa Verde NP. I was about 20 minutes to the entrance. We were able to do the tour without the dogs and pick them up for the afternoon of stopping at the beautiful vistas. The apartment had everything we needed for our short stay. It was comfortable and quiet. Will recommend it to friends.
