Summary: What a wonderful chalet/wooden cabin. Very comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing break. (Bertrand is intending to install air con for next season although the electric fans provided did a good job). Betty and Bertrand where wonderful hosts, although they speak virtually no English. Betrand grows his own veg and was kind enough to share some of it with us. The tomatoes were delicious. They also provided a bottle of water, bottle of orange juice, a couple of beers and a brioche as a little welcome pack. The location is peaceful and private, however a large supermarket and other facilities are only a matter of 2.6km away. The chalet is also within an hour or so of other major cities/towns such as La Rochelle, which is well worth a visit. The coast is only 30mins drive and the best beach we visited was at Brem Sur Mar with soft sand and dunes. We would definitely visit the area again and stay at Betty and Bertrand’s property.
