Great for longer stays, this early CA bungalow is popular with travel MDs, as it is near UCSD, Scripps, & La Jolla beaches. On a spectacular private canyon, your studio has its own entrance, full kitchen & bath, but the deck, & firepit are shared outdoor spaces with your host, Andrea. Indoor fireplace. Parking directly in front of Andrea's house. Stays of 30+ days avoid taxes. Not seeking work-from-home professionals. So, sorry, I'm unable to discount further.
The studio has its own entrance, kitchen, and bath. The Living/bedroom area is separated from the kitchen/bath with a lovely arch. You will access your front door through the home's driveway.
Brightly painted with Mexican tiles and an indoor fireplace. Large desk, dining area with a spectacular view. (Canyon is private and not open to the public) You'll have access to the home patios, and decks gas fire pit. Sorry, no pets. Andrea, your host, who lives in the main house, will take you on a tour of the private canyon. No pets, but musical instruments are okay. :)
Guests will access their front door through the homes driveway and have access to the Gas fire-pit, outdoor barbeque, upper and lower canyon decks.
I offer my guests social interactions and invite you to chat during your stay. And if you play a musical instrument, bring it, because I like to play guitar.

Yes, there is plenty of parking for your car, there are hills nearby, people rent or arrive by car.
The guesthouse's private door is accessed through the home's driveway. There are no stairs. Sorry there is no laundry on site, but I send guests to Mrs Bubbles, in nearby Pacific Beach.
You are welcome to use the home's patio and garden which are shared with your hostess, Andrea who lives alone in the main house without pets. You will have access to the courtyard fire pit, patio, and the private canyon trails. No vaping or pets, please ask before inviting a guest over. Good news, instruments and guitars are allowed.

Summary: I traveled to California for the first time with my young son and we couldn't have asked for a better host. Andrea is very knowledgeable about the area and will treat you like family. She's also done an impeccable job with her property as an ode to Mexico & nature--putting in elaborate trails in her rather stunning piece of land. For nighttime, the place comes with a hot tub & fire pit. She's also decorated with romantic outdoor lighting & swings so at night you can relax and just enjoy the view of the stars. Since La Casita rests atop of a large hill so you really feel like you're staying at a mini resort. Andrea is a very generous individual in that she's willing to share her little piece of paradise with others.

Summary: We traveled to San Diego to visit our son, who is in the Navy. We stayed in the Villa, and it was wonderful- tastefully decorated,very spacious (we were 4), gorgeous gardens and trail into the canyon. Cooked for our son (missing Louisiana food) in the fully equipped kitchen , barbecued on back deck and enjoyed wine by the fire pit. Andrea provided lots of information about all of the popular tourist attractions and restaurants as well as places enjoyed by the locals. The best thing about the villa is that it is located 10-15 minutes from all of these attractions, while maintaining its quiet charm. A real gem! Thanks Andrea!

Summary: My out of state family came to visit us and I found this place for them to stay. Guess what, they're not only loved it , they feel at home . Very clean and romantic for a couple. The deck , the garden and the trail is beautiful. We went to visit them one night and we had little cook out dinner by the deck, sat by the firepit. Too bad we didn't enjoy that long enough.The rain came pouring down although we really need I wish it was not that night. I would recommend this place to anybody. Its near to everywhere you want to go. Thank you, Andrea for making this place a gem.

Summary: La Casita is a wonderful place.I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy it more. Andrea our host was very kind and easy going. The scenery was beautiful. Very close to many popular places.

Summary: Stunning property, beautifully built and decorated cottage on the edge of an amazing garden and private canyon. Very close to freeway access but remarkably quiet, peaceful and green. I couldn't stay mad at my husband for forgetting one of my bags home, as soon as we arrived at the Casita stress melted away and we switched to romantic getaway mood. We walked down the canyon, cooked dinner and enjoyed it by the fire-pit, we had planned to go watch the sunset at the beach (10 min away) but we loved the beauty and privacy of the garden. Great kitchen will all you need, cute and super clean bathroom, adorable decor in the bedroom with built in bookcase and fireplace right by the bed. We did make it to the beach in the morning, came back and went straight into the hot-tub and relaxed some more. Wish we had planned to stay longer!

Summary: Definitely an unforgettably romantic valentines weekend. Everything was better than what we could have ever imagined. We especially loved using the very hot fire-pit at night, and relaxing in one of the swings or chairs in the zen like terraced backyard. We will definitely be back sooner than later.
