Leave the world behind and escape to our FIRST FLOOR 2 BR 2BA condo in the shadows of palmettos, magnolias and ancient moss-covered live oaks overlooking the Plantation Golf Course at Edisto Beach, SC. Spend lazy days at the oceanfront cabana with convenient facilities or strolling stretches of unspoiled beaches teeming with wildlife and strewn with seashells. Enjoy miles of bike and hiking trails, rent a kayak or charter a boat trip. Only 45 miles from downtown Charleston and an easy day trip to Savannah or Beaufort, this unspoiled Sea Island retreat provides lots of year round outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, shrimping, crabbing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, shelling, bird watching and programs and activities at the adjacent state park and wildlife preserves. Bring your camera, the historic charm and natural beauty of the island and nearby cities is unmatched! Peaceful, quiet Edisto is off the beaten path, yet there are just enough restaurants, nightspots, museums, shops and galleries to make it interesting. This privately owned showcase condo INSIDE the Wyndham Ocean Ridge Resort was, unfortunately, destroyed by a fire in 2010 but has been rebuilt with hand scraped teak laminate and ceramic tile floors and the latest in energy efficient, FIRE PROTECTED construction . It is beautifully decorated with custom window treatments, lovely art work and even a few antiques. One local agency has described it as the nicest 2 bedroom unit on Edisto. The kitchen is very well equipped with dishwasher, disposal, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker , FULL SIZED stacked washer and dryer and complete sets of dishes, cookware and utensils. Cabinets are stocked with staples AND we now have our own REVERSE OSMOSIS water system so there is no more hauling bottled water up the stairs!! Wireless internet and free long distance phone service are also included along with unlimited movies via NETFLIX streaming and extended cable TV. The dining table seats 6 and the comfortable living room provides a 42 inch TV with extended cable, BlueRay DVD and a lovely entertainment center stocked with books and movies. A queen sized sofa sleeper with premium mattress, 2 leather recliners, a rocking chair and drawer space in the living room allow the unit to sleep up to 5 people although 4 will be more comfortable. Large sliding glass doors open from the living room and master bedroom onto a covered porch equipped with a gas grill, ceiling fans and comfortable seating for 6. There is a plush king sized bed in the Low Country Plantation bedroom. In the Seaside Cottage bedroom, the bed can be configured as a king or split into a pair of single beds. Each bedroom has its own 32 inch television , double dresser, an upholstered chair and bathroom (1 tub, 1 shower) Move out house cleaning are provided. Central heat and air provide year round comfort. Ceiling fans have been added to each room to make the most of the island breezes as well. NO SMOKING INDOORS. NO PETS. Unfortunately, there is no room for cribs, air mattresses or rollaways. Wyndham Ocean Ridge does not allow Motorcycles/Trailers/RVs/Boats/Golf Carts.

Summary: Owner has been very helpful and responsive. Edisto is a great spot to have a relaxing vacation. Condo needs renovation.

Summary: Loved the location, close to the beach, and everything you really need while on vacation. Condo right on the golf course, watched deer daily - the best part of being there. Saw up to 13 deer right below our balcony! Loved it! Nice breeze and shade from the balcony, condo comfortable had everything we needed. My only recommendation, have chairs and umbrella for use...not paying 70 bucks just rent one after paying this much for a vaca. However, loved the condo, ceiling fans, ease of everything and nice relaxing time. I would rent again. Thx

Summary: The condo was great. Very comfortable. The area was beautiful. It was nice that dish soap, hand soap, laundry soap & coffee were included. It would have been helpful if the description would have said that sheets and towels were not included. Also we were very confused about finding the pools and beach cabana the description included. There was no info concerning them. The property manager was vague about location of the pools and if they were even open. A girl at the café on the grounds said they were open, I just had to use my key to access the pools. Later another girl at the same cafe said that our building was sold to private owners and that we no longer had access to the pools. It was a lot of detective work and some frustration with no results. If this is the case the description of the place should be changed for future renters. Since it was a little cool and breezy at the beach we rented bikes and enjoyed the area. All in all we enjoyed ourselves, Edisto beach and the condo. We would come back.
