Negative: It’s a sort of “self sufficient” hotel where there is not someone at the desk at all times.

Positive: Big room, comfy beds and bedding. Nice lobby. Continental breakfast was nice.
Negative: Contactless front desk meant no interaction with anyone but the person working breakfast, but someone was responsive communication via texts.
Summary: Good quiet location away from the more hustle/bustle of Lake Placid. Close to Whiteface Mtn and streams and hikes.

Positive: Nice and close to Whiteface, the cabin like charm to the whole room was amazing, soft carpet after a long day in snowboots, Alex from the front desk was nice and easy to talk to, and it felt clean
Negative: When we first got to the room we noticed the heat wasn't working. Alex from the front desk tried his best to fix it but couldn't and after hearing that we were the only guest staying we asked to switch rooms. Once the MANAGER switched us to the "updated" room we noticed how much smaller it was to the first room, with no carpet, no desk, no seating, no tables to rest anything on.. nothing. So we then asked for another room similar to our first one. The MANAGER told us none were available but could pay to upgrade to a newer and larger room. We didn't want a newer or larger room since we loved the charm of the first one. At the end Alex gave us a space heater and we called it a day so we stuck with the original room. It worked out but left a bad taste.
