Summary: Wonderful hosts who live close by and can help out with any local information, queries or issues with the properties (not there there were any difficulties during our stay). Beautiful location which can't be beaten on its views. Large lounge with log fire which really makes the stay. Spotlessly clean on arrival and such great efforts gone to by hosts to make the rental as safe as possible in relation to Covid / transmission including leaving a week between guests. Any guest staying should willingly engage with the small extra measures requested of guests on departure which help keep the hosts and all their guests, safe. Summary: We had a super week in the farmhouse and were lucky that it didn’t freeze at all as the access to the property would have been difficult if it had. There isn’t central heating, but there are storage heaters, a gorgeous fire and plenty of other heaters. However, all of us were a bit cold during the night as the duvets were a bit thin. I’m sure they would be fine in the summer but perhaps need upgrading for this time of year.

It was perfectly placed to explore the Lake District and we loved spending the evenings around the fireplace in the cosy living room.
