Positive: Cleanliness and overall amenities, not to forget the absolutely wonderful complimentary breakfast.

Negative: For me there are a few too many lights from outlets, clock etc. that stay continually illuminated. I need a dark room to get good sleep and these were a bit bothersome for me. Also, the hotel is literally right next to the freeway so if you want to sleep in and are bothered by traffic sounds probably not best choice.

Summary: All in all overall one of the nicest hotels including the 5 star variety I’ve had the pleasure of staying at

Positive: Had a huge room with a wood burning fireplace and a beautiful view over the bay. Loved the complimentary wine and snacks in the evening and the breakfasts were amazing, wish I’d asked for the frittata recipe!

Negative: Location was a little clumsy, across a bridge from the junction so we couldn’t access that it on foot or by bike.

Summary: Adorable retreat and perfect jumping off point for mt tam and Muir Woods!

Positive: The hotel has a great view, and close to restaurants etc. Good coffee and tea is all day available. Breakfast is also good.

Negative: The only drawback is its walls are a bit thin so you might hear people walking/talking in hallway, or the ice machine's noise in the 2nd floor.

Positive: Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfy and great location. Quiet and great amenities, good breakfast, wine and cheese evening, cookies and coffee/tea available all the time. Nice.

Positive: The hotel is very nice and the rooms clean. We like the location. We pay more to stay here due to their amenities but upon check in the staff member was not the best.

Negative: The staff member at check in was not friendly. Did not acknowledge we've stayed here before. Did not offer a bottle of water. I'd written in my reservation I was traveling with dogs, he did not have us fill out a pet form. Instead, after seeing us walk in the the dogs after check in called us numerous times insisting we come down immediately to the front desk. I was a bit taken aback as we'd hidden nothing. Later, it's his job to replenish the complimentary wine and cheese reception in the evening and he did not. He sat, looking at his cell phone, at the front desk. We stayed only one night and we stay here because the rooms are nice, location nice, they have extras such as bottled water (we did not get) wine and cheese (we barely got any) and a nice breakfast buffet. The buffet (at 9:00 am) was picked over. The frittata which is usually great was not warm at all and hard and crunchy as was the sausages. The shining star is the staff member, Genevieve, upon check out gave us bottled water, acknowledged we'd stayed before, offered us sight seeing information, asked about the buffet, etc.

Summary: The amenities at Aqua regressed on our recent stay, not sure we'll return.
