Positive: Considering it’s in the middle of nowhere, it was the nicest hotel that I could find and had its own private bathrooms. Hotel staff were mostly friendly and the main reception was cozy when it was raining outside with a nice fire.
Negative: The rooms are very much NOT designed for couples, as we were given two twin beds and there was no option to change, even when booking months in advance. Hotel staff aren’t very well informed on local transport, and directed us to printed timetables that are only in Swedish. It’s also rather expensive for a room that is just plain white and twin beds - almost like you’re on a school trip. Lastly, amenities weren’t made clear, EG that there was a free sauna and relaxing space. Personally the menu wasn’t for either me or my partner too, but that’s down to personal preference.
Summary: As close to a hostel as it gets without being one
