Positive: The location is amazing and the Abbaye is absolutely beautiful. We had a Junior Suite which was huge and luxurious. Staff very friendly and professional and our 2 dogs were welcomed with such warmth. Special shout out to Sebastian.

Negative: It’s a high price point and in this occasion our evening meal wasn’t maybe at the standard it should have been. Similarly breakfast was good but not exceptional and for the price-point the overall dining experience could have been better.

Positive: The property is breathtaking and you feel a bit like royalty staying there. The breakfast was excellent and we really enjoyed eating at the bistro. The staff was extremely accommodating.

Positive: Food. Ambience. When we arrived we realised that we had stayed there before. The previous owners were very nice but undercapitalised - in fact they tried to sell the property to me. Current managers look experienced and have done well. Decent value for money.

Negative: Location isn’t great and on leaving we got snarled up in Tour de France road closures (for which we can hardly blame the hotel!).

Summary: If you like good food, big rooms and decent burgundy wines this is a pretty good option.

Positive: We loved the garden, it is very beautiful, very quiet, the room is very comfortable. Good value for money. We will come back.

Negative: We arrived at 9pm and ask to have a diner. We couldn’t go to put our suitcase to the room we had to go straight to the restaurant . I wish I could was my hands. Not flexible.
