Negative: You need a car - but it’s isolation is part of its joy

Negative: The property was not well maintained... rusty furniture, insects in the room and bathroom, it was not very clean, there were webs in the room and the balcony area as well. It was not value for money.

Positive: The staff was very cordial and prompt. The food was cooked to order and was pretty good.

Negative: The property seems to be in tatters and to reach here one need to drive about 30 mins extra(it’s just opposite to the Narmada ghat but there is only boat access). There are many other small things that I can comment about but nitpicking isn’t necessary. Wasn’t worth the money at all.

Summary: Not at all worth the money. Avoid. Good staff and good food though.

Positive: Within 200m of the hotel is a ghat from where one can hire a boat to cross the river and arrive at the heart of Maheshwar. This was a very nice and relaxing way of arriving at the holy site. The guest room was large, well appointed, with a lovely window with a beautiful view. The terrace had a plunge pool filled with clean-looking water. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious and the shower was satisfying. Everything in the room was in proper working order.

Negative: The "resort" had no amenities to speak of. Only a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner with very limited hours. The buffet selections were underwhelming. At dinner I was happy to be served a nice, cold beer but I was told I could not have a second. There were many missed opportunities to further develop this terrific location.

Positive: Breakfast and location were both fantastic. Rooms were okay but not bad. View from balcony was amazing!

Negative: Bathroom could have been better. Had difficulty getting to property at 9:30 PM from Maheshwar market since signage is not very clear across the way.

Summary: Worth the sunrise and fort view!
