Summary: It would be hard to find a more private cottage in an idyllic setting & yet walking distance to friendly shop & pub. It is a lovely ‘home from home’ house that is spotlessly clean & immaculately decorated. We felt very ‘Covid-safe’, and were impressed with the care that has gone into the arrangements. Despite unsettled weather, we found something interesting to do every day - it is ideally situated for visiting the whole of Cornwall. Summary: We had a lovely week in Sweet's Close, extremely well equipped cottage. Lots of logs for the fire. The weather was very kind to us but at this time of year it gets chilly in the evenings. The garden is very well enclosed which is perfect for our dog. The owners have very thoughtfully considered every eventuality. Would very much like to stay there again. Thank you.

Summary: Sweets Close is a lovely well-equipped cottage in a peaceful location and easily accessible base for travel to a variety of places. There is plenty of literature about places to visit and a detailed welcome pack. Polgooth Inn is very popular and the food is excellent. Even for Monday lunch we needed to book. Thank you so much to the owners and to Carol, the house manager, who gave us such a warm welcome and happily answered any questions.
