This newly renovated spectacular holiday home is set in one of the most sought after locations in Kingsdown with far-reaching sea views.

Downs Cottage is an extraordinary celebration house offering luxury self catering on the beautiful unspoilt stretch of coastline on Wellington Parade, Kingsdown. It is set right on the beach front in Kent and offers a stylish self-catering beach house. Couples and families alike will relish precious days spent exploring the treasures of the trendy nearby town of Deal. With 4 large double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a gorgeous cabin bunk bed room for children it can sleep up to 11. The living space is open plan and enormous! The owners have lovingly and cleverly restored this beach house into an incredible holiday home for all to enjoy!
There is also a lovely sheltered garden at the back with a sauna and a shower.

Summary: We had a fabulous New Year with family and friends at Downs Cottage. The house is stunning and its location right next to the beach made our stay really special. We absolutely loved the open plan kitchen / lounge area, a perfect place to host a gathering of family and friends.

Summary: A beautiful property in an excellent location. The decor is quirky and sophisticated, the open plan living area was both modern and to me, evocative of 1930s American Rhode Island! Comfortable beds with pillows to sink into, and lovely pure cotton bed linens. The bathrooms were well equipped and the attention to detail throughout was very high

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Downs Cottage so much. The rooms are so spacious, the beds super comfortable and the location was just incredible. Waking up to a sea view every day was such a treat. Thank you for having us.

Summary: Downs Cottage is absolutely stunning. Never stayed in a place quite so whimsically decorated (never thought I would be taking a bath with a lioness keeping guard) while at the same time fitted out to a very high standard (taking away loads of ideas for our own kitchen reno!) You can tell it’s a much loved holiday home for the owners which is charming but can sometimes feel a bit like you are intruding on someone’s private space. Kingsdown is a wonderful village with a fantastic pub and great views while being in east walking distance of Walmer and Deal with a lot more amenities. Service by both Keepers Cottage and the housekeeper was very efficient and responsive. One suggestion would be to include a welcome package for guests. It’s a simple touch but one that adds to a feeling of being welcomed.

Summary: We are a group of 8 ladies enjoying a weekend away and we had a wonderful weekend at Downs Cottage. The property was perfect… comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, beautiful decor, superb location, sauna was a bonus and the garden was very pretty. Deal itself was a very welcoming town, friendly people. We’d recommend Margarita’s for take away pizza and Mike’s Bikes for cycle hire. Walking distance into Deal from the cottage was about 30mins, which along the seafront was no time at all. We would all definitely return with our families.
