Our goal was clear: to build a house that would honor the past while embracing the comforts of modern living. We wanted to tread lightly on the history of Zaraće, preserving its essence while introducing contemporary elements that would enhance the living experience. And so, we set out to create a perfect harmony of old and new.
As the warm sun bathed the picturesque landscape of Zaraće in golden light, we began to bring our vision to life. The exterior of our home tells a story of heritage and resilience, crafted from rocks sourced from the remnants of an old, abandoned house that once stood on the same plot of land. Each stone carries with it the echoes of bygone days, a tangible link to the past that now forms the very foundation of our new home.
The Space

Summary: My family and I spent two magical weeks at Father’s Heart and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to reunite with my loved ones. It was one of the most peaceful, beautiful, welcoming stays I’ve ever had. A special thank you to Tina, the house manager, for taking such good care of us. I hope to return one day and have recommended this place many times over after returning home.

Summary: We were lucky enough to stay in this apartment soon after it had been renovated. The accommodation is very comfortable, well resourced and clean. The views are stunning, sitting outside on the terrace next to the plunge pool is a lovely experience. The village was very peaceful, the outside areas are not overlooked so you get a real feeling of privacy. The owner, Perina was very helpful and keen to ensure that our stay was the best it could be. We appreciated the drinks and snacks provided for our arrival. My teenage (16) son appreciated the outside room with ensuite to have as his own. We hired a car for the duration of our stay, this in my view is essential. Zarace beach is close by, if you are fit and mobile, you can walk their but their is a parking space reserved for you should you prefer to go by car which I would recommend when it's very hot. Hvar town is about a 10 minute drive away. Parking is straight forward. There are many restaurants, bars and boat trips to enjoy here. It has a great vibe, the locals are friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend this apartment, just be aware that access to the property is steep and rugged.
