Positive: Locker available to put things inside. Amenities provided such as towels (it changes daily) , shampoo, shower gel , toothbrush etc. The shower space is big. Convenient store just down stairs.

Negative: No common area to enjoy meal. The bed might be too soft or pillow not so comfortable but still bearable.

Summary: Comfortable stay, convenient location.

Positive: The facilities were very clean, modern and nice. Big shower room, very nice toilet, and the towels/robe/flip-flops were great.

Negative: The bed was good for me, but could be too hard for some. The pillow was hard and a bit weird but surprisingly, not uncomfortable. Big minut for not allowing baggage storage after check-in. I just needed 1 hour and they didn't allow, most places do allow it

Positive: - 9h does a good job setting rules to minimize noises inside the sleeping pods. - This noise control may as well be part of the staff training because the front desk staff are mute during my encounters. - As always, I highly appreciate Japanese people’s respect for guests’ privacy, and I’m a big fan against small talks and for quiet environment. - However, the staff here didn’t show basic verbal communication: no thank you, no greetings, etc., I don’t need excessive greetings though. - Non-verbal would be good enough, but no head nodding, no smile, no eye contact, no acknowledgment of guests when they walk past. Staff seem happier keeping their heads down. - I visited another 9h in Hakata in which staff acted similarly. Pod style is not ryokan. My point is that if a machine could do the same work checking in guests, why don’t let humans do what they feel happier?
