Summary: The house was in a very pleasant rural village on the edge of some very fine walking country above Mende. The accommodation was well equipped and fine for us two, but may be a little cramped downstairs for four. The owner appeared every day to feed his animals but was in no way obtrusive. There was an enclosed area outside for eating protected from any wind and sun. Mende is a very pleasant and interesting town with easy parking and all necessary facilities. The country side around varied spectacularly and was in easy reach of the Tarn George, the Cevenne and many interesting towns and villages. We would be very happy to stay there again.
