This is where Hans Grade, the first German motorised flying pioneer, flew his rounds, built aircraft and trained pilots. The apartment is centrally located in Borkheide, 500 metres from the train station (RE8).

The Europa cycle path R1 runs through the locality, a path that leads over 3600 kilometres from Boulogne-sur-Mer or Calais in France to St. Petersburg in Russia. From mid-May to mid-September the Börkheide forest pool, a chemical-free natural pool, invites you to relax.
