Summary: Beautiful place. well located, depending on your activities. It was built in the 1800’s, so expect that and some of the β€œcomforts” of a newer home may be missing. (E.g. working showers, smaller bathrooms, small oven, older appliances…). But the owner and his handyman were the best. Will probably stay again next year with my classmates for another Army football game.

Summary: Beautiful historic home. Large rooms. Plenty of space for the entire family. This is a historic home and the amenities reflect that. Great location, close to restaurants and shopping.

Summary: Eight of us stayed here to finish out the summer in Victorian Gothic style. Upon entry the guests were in awe. The house is huge and beautiful. The listing pictures undersell the place; it’s even larger than the pictures make it seem. The steps, like the floors, do not squeak at all. Early risers can pad around without disturbing anyone. Not bad for a place built in 1881. The place was well prepared for our visit. The entire house was cleanβ€”fresh towels, empty garbage cans, and no dust bunnies. The property manager left a generous welcome package. There are multiple Bluetooth speakers available. A big kitchen has everything you need to cook for a large group; dual ovens, plenty of burners, every utensil you need, and enough of them for a large group. The oven and microwave are older models. They work fine but the controls are clunky, and it took a lot of button pressing to get them started. Don’t forget to bring sheet music: the piano is in tune and has a responsive, light touch. You won’t disturb anyone. The neighbors are far away. And the plaster walls do a great job of blocking sound. No one in the kitchen could hear us in the music room as we pounded away on the baby grand. Eight people were swallowed by the house, in a good way. Groups can form and meander, merge and separate. We all easily fit on the screened porch, in the dining room, and the living room. We loved our stay at this quiet and beautiful mansion, a perfect spot for large groups.

Summary: We really enjoyed staying here. The house is amazing. It is like stepping back in time. The property is really large, and the house sits privately at the end of a long wooded driveway. The house is really large, quite and peaceful, with many different rooms to enjoy downstairs. There is a large entry hall, big living room, library, sun room, kitchen and dining room. There is a piano in the music room with a really big beautiful sound, and a light action. We had several nice meals with our whole family around the large dining room table. The kitchen is well stocked, and really cool. We also enjoyed sitting on the huge front porch. Upstairs are the five bedrooms. Each has a unique character and all are very large, spacious and comfortable. The house really has an interesting and comfortable layout. Nothing in this house is really modern, but everything is in good shape and functional. We wish we could have stayed longer, and will be back again.
