Summary: Spent a wonderful couple of days at 40 winks hotel. Room was very comfortable, great location for walking around Durham. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and served hot. Will definitely return. All staff very friendly and welcoming.

Summary: What a gem of a place, ideal location, gorgeous views, super comfortable room and really friendly staff. One of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. It’s so nice to stay somewhere with so much character, if you’re going to Durham, stay here.

Summary: Absolutely loved our stay at 40 Winks, the room was so beautiful with a gorgeous view of the Cathedral. It felt romantic, relaxing and special. Only a 5-10 minute walk to get to the main attractions and lots of food options. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone staying in Durham.

Summary: This was our second stay at 40 winks and it was even better! Warn welcome, beautiful decor, delicious breakfast. Host went out of his way to make our visit run smoothly as we were here for a graduation ceremony. We will be back. Didn’t have time to use the new bar so we must return!!
