Hill Top Hideaway is a stunning 4,500-square-foot lakefront home located on Watauga Lake in Butler, Tennessee. The property offers plenty of space and amenities for a relaxing getaway.
This beautiful home features three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, two fully stocked kitchens (complete with pots, pans, and essentials), a finished basement, and a garage.
Upstairs, you’ll find two queen bedrooms that share a bathroom, and a master bedroom with a king bed, jetted tub, and shower. All linens and towels are provided for your convenience.
In the basement, there are full-size bunk beds and an additional king bed—please note that there is no bathroom in the basement.
Enjoy the large front porch on the main level and make use of both a charcoal grill and gas grill during your stay. The property is lakefront, but please note: the house sits on a hill, and the dock and fire pit are located across a small, unmarked road.
Guests have access to 2 kayaks, 1 canoe, and a paddleboard. At the covered dock (reserved exclusively for renters), you’ll also find a gas grill and a refrigerator.
If you’re bringing a boat, the closest launch site is Little Milligan Boat Ramp. Boat rentals are available at Fish Springs Marina and Lakeshore Marina.

Summary: The wrap-around porch offers the most beautiful and relaxing view imaginable. All we could hear were birds and a few fish jumping in the water. Carol is a great communicator and truly cares that her guests have everything they need. The master bed is super comfy and the kitchen is well equipped. Be ready for a steep curvy driveway. Very doable, but just a heads up for those who fear heights like me! Great stay with easy check in and out. Be sure to keep an eye out the kitchen window for deer in the upper pasture. Beautiful!

Summary: We stayed at this property to celebrate my Dad’s 80th and it was wonderful. Plenty of space, comfy beds, gorgeous views allowed everything to be perfect.

Summary: The location of the house was perfect. We enjoyed using the kayaks, canoe and paddle board provided. We also rented a boat for one day to explore the lake and were able to easily dock it. Having a small refrigerator down by the dock was very convenient. We also enjoyed making snores at the fire pit. There was plenty of firewood available. The house was very clean and spacious and the kitchen was fully stocked. The front porch was the perfect spot for reading and enjoying our morning coffee while looking out at the lake. Carol is an excellent host who made sure our stay was perfect from start to finish. We highly recommend this property!

Summary: My family and I had a great stay! We stayed here to enjoy the water and waterside fire pit and for some of our group to go skiing. The slopes were about 40-60 minutes away so completely doable. The hosts were very friendly and even helped us feel more comfortable when we made a request. We all had a wonderful time!

Summary: The property is simply fantastic. It was not only beautiful but was also very spacious. We had 7 in our group and never felt crowded. Summary: Great dock, paddleboard, canoe. Downstairs was fun for kids and very spacious. Comfy beds. Fire pit was wonderful. Owner was helpful and made sure we had everything we needed before and during our stay.

Summary: We loved the location of the property. Lake access was great. We loved being able to bring a boat to the dock provided . The upstairs bedroom facing the lake could really use some blinds , the sun beams in early in the morning with no curtains or blinds . We had two preteens staying in the downstairs area . I did not feel like the air conditioning was working properly in the downstairs area . It always seemed to be hot downstairs. We loved having the kayaks and paddle boards to use.
