Situated in a lovely, peaceful setting beside the Lyvennet Beck in an attractive Cumbrian village, this semi-detached stone cottage offers comfortable, well appointed holiday accommodation with the kitchen totally refurbished in 2021, with integrated appliances. This ancient Eden Valley village is crossed by the coast to coast walk and cycle route and there is a wealth of pre historic settlements within the area. The local community owned pub has a good ambience and serves excellent food. Situated four miles east of the M6, the location is ideal for exploring the beautiful Eden Valley and the Lake District National Park. The Northumberland and Scottish borders plus the Yorkshire Dales are all within an hours drive. The nearby market towns of Appleby and Penrith provide a good selection of shops and local amenities including fishing and leisure centres.

Summary: Stayed for 4 nights as a family of 4 adults, baby and dog. Comfortable cottage, brilliant garden which the dog loved. Would certainly return for another stay.

Summary: nice cottage. bit dated but good condition.no local shops but that's why we went . to get away from it all. seems to be a problem with people next door with a camper van in front garden. After being out for the day, my partner and I sat out with a coffee at bottom of garden, she let her dogs out and they were barking and trying to get through the fence. then she banged every door in the house front and back. to top it off, she came out with a metal dish with stones in and rattled them for ages. we are elderly and don't make a noise so don't know if she has a problem with a holiday home next door, but it put me off going again.
