Positive: Lovely old style cottage with 2 good bedrooms. Plenty of room for 2 or more travellers It is a walk from the train station as we didn't bring a car.About 15 mins Other than takeaways, there is nowhere to eat at night, but you can get to nearby towns and there is a coop nearby

Negative: If you're looking for a nicely decorated, modern house this is not it, but we didn't mind. Plumbing issues - sometimes tricky to get toilet to flush and the hot water tap doesn't work in the kitchen (we has to boil the kettle to wash up) Parking can be tricky, especially at the weekend

Positive: The location of this cottage is perfect. Not in a tourist area but close enough to visit all the main towns and attractions. Conwy, Llandudno, Anglesey, Rhyl are all really close. We loved the river/stream that goes along the back of the house, the sounds were so lovely and calming. The property has everything you could possibly need and more! We had a really great stay. Beds are comfy and the 2 bedrooms are a great size as is the living room and kitchen. We thought it was fab that Netflix and Prime were included on the TV and there was a PlayStation too (although not working on our visit). The kitchen is lovely and has everything you’d expect in a kitchen. Bathroom is ok- very small shower but due to size and layout, it wouldn’t be able to be bigger. The bath is a good size. All original wooden floorboards upstairs that do creak! There is a fish and chip shop, Indian and Chinese takeaways a short walk from the property and also a co-op mini supermarket and small shop for food and amenities. There’s a lovely sandy beach and small childrens splash area a few mins drive away but check on the tide times before going. We would definitely stay here again, we enjoyed our stay so much.

Negative: The only small criticism we could say would be that the property could do with some updating. A lot of old mismatched dark furniture and thread bare old thin rugs that did smell bad when hoovered. Outside could do with a bit of attention- a more comfortable seating area and general tidy up. If the property was done in a lovely shabby chic decor, it would be in keeping with the area and would look so beautiful. The check out time is 10am which we found a little early especially with children. The cleaner was at the door bang on 10am. Our own personal opinion would be to have that changed to a bit later if possible.

Summary: A great week away in a lovely cottage in a village setting.
