Positive: Everything was absolutely perfect – it was close to the subway and public transportation. There was also a park nearby with options for sports, as well as clothing and other stores all within walking distance. We also found great places for breakfast and dinner in the area. The grocery store was only 15 meters away, with a bar right next to the entrance and several others within 80 meters. The street itself and the apartment were quiet; no street noise could be heard inside. There were some renovation works going on in the neighboring apartment, but they didn’t affect our stay at all – the noisy work only started after 9:30 a.m., and by the time we got back in the evening, they were already gone for the day. The designated contacts (Alyona and Diego) were extremely helpful – anything we asked for, they managed to arrange, and they responded to our messages almost immediately. Breakfast wasn’t provided at the accommodation, but this wasn’t an issue at all – the kitchen was well equipped, and with the grocery store next door, it was very convenient. The Wi‑Fi worked perfectly, and there was also a large‑screen TV, though we didn’t get a chance to use it because we didn’t have enough time.

Negative: Everything was perfect, there was nothing like that.

Positive: It was a great location for our needs! Nearby subway stations make it easy to get around. Clean and pretty quiet. Worked perfectly for our group of three.

Negative: Only one thin pillow per person, no basic items like oil and pepper, hot water and heating were difficult to control. The apartment is very dark which wasn’t ideal.

Positive: The appartment was really clean. The location in lower manhattan was ideal, a lot of things were walking distance and there were several subway lines nearby. It was really nice to have 2 separate bedrooms, and a kitchen.

Negative: The door lock was really hard to open and close, the owner should really do something about that, we were sometimes afraid we would break the key. The bathroom door didn't close really well and couldn't be locked, which isn't ideal when 4 adults are staying in the apartment. The shower was difficult to manage and was sometimes really cold or burning hot. It appears the owner isn't allowed to rent the apartment, we were told to pretend we were friends of his.

Positive: Great location for some of lower Manhattan's most interesting sights, areas and experiences. The property itself is quiet, but you're never far away from the liveliness of some of the most fascinating parts of New York. Public transport connections are great, and all conveniences nearby from local shops. The hosts are exemplary: easy to interact with, punctual, reliable. We stayed there as a family and would recommend it for travellers who want a little more space and independence than a hotel would offer, while enjoying the same great locations.

Negative: It's a nicely kept apartment with all the amenities you'd want in-house, even if the decor and facilities aren't the most luxurious or new. Don't come for the views (there are none), but do come for the location. All the rooms are air-conditioned, the bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom are basic but perfectly functional.
