Negative: Tvs didnt work. They sent someone over right away but was never fixed. So much to do in the area outside tvs didnt matter.

Positive: Ryan and Dee’s home is in a stunning location right along the river. The house is modern, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully designed. I especially appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, the incredibly comfortable mattress, and the gorgeous backyard. I hope to return someday!

Positive: The cottage was well equipped with everything you’d need in the kitchen. We also enjoyed the river view in the backyard. The heaters came in handy as well and having a dishwasher and laundry facilities.

Negative: Upon our arrival, no one was there and we had not received check in instructions as I asked in my last message before arriving. No code was provided and we were unsure of how the lock worked. It was by chance in seeing the neighbour who got Ryan to help us check in and provide the lock code. Also, we had already paid $20 for 2 bags of firewood included with our e-transfer for our weekly stay. Ryan and Dee had offered to pick up two bags. We did not see our firewood and had to knock at the neighbours again for Ryan. He returned my $20 in cash and said we could pick up the firewood ourselves from the nearby gas station. He apologized for the misunderstanding. However, I found this unacceptable customer service. We were also told to communicate through private messages for any future questions. Our messages were not returned promptly and we could never get through on the phone number listed here for the owner’s Ryan and Dee. Upon returning back one evening, the lock was not working. We got the next door neighbour who provided a regular key and said a new battery was needed for the lock. The lock gave us no trouble after as I gather a new battery had been installed. There was no proper dock for launching the kayaks and getting out of them. It is not easy getting into a kayak from the rocks. The dock nearby was full of goose poop and unsteady on one corner in the river. I tipped the kayak by trying to get out on the rocks after my boat trip and completely fell into the river. This was not a pleasant experience. Also, despite using charcoal BBQ, we would have liked access to the propane BBQ as well. No propane was provided despite BBQ facilities being advertised. One last thing was the guy came by to spray the weeds on our last day. He said we’d have to go inside for 2 hours. He was told to not spray our yard since being our last day and he left respecting our wishes.
