Young children will delight in the play area and outside toys. Mainsforth is a small, picturesque village just 7 miles from Durham and its magnificent cathedral, fine amenities and riverside walks. Beamish Open Air Museum, the Lakes, Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland’s sandy beaches are all easily accessible.

Summary: This cottage was situated in quiet peaceful surroundings and the proprietors were always available and extremely helpful. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a nice touch of cupcakes on our arrival. We were quite close to main towns and also the seaside. The cottage was cosy and well equipped. Ideal for a small family. We took our 6 month old grand daughter and everything was provided for her. Felt very safe even with Covid 19!! All rules were followed to keep us safe.
